the uneven manicure

i never had a steady hand for nail polish. never. i was off to paint my own nails and give myself a cool bright blue + gold manicure, when the nail i painted came off as uneven. needless to say i was pissed, but when i looked at it longer… i liked it.

so while some bloggers have pictures of their perfect manicures, here is my picture of my own invention: the uneven manicure.

steps? it’s simple:

1. apply base coat and let it dry
2. pick the color you want for your main polish… and let it dry
3. then, for the tips, rather than painting a straight line… go crazy! but not too crazy
